Is this a good car for my 16 year old?

Serious gas-guzzler and really poor reliability ratings. But if it doesn't fall apart on him, your kid will love it because it is "cool." Now here's the question: why would you trade a newer, better car for an older, beat up one that is only $1,000 less than the value of your newer, better car? Sounds like a big ripoff to me.
