Im writing a story and i cant decide on which i should go with?

Im writing a story that basically revolves around a 'bad-boy' teen aged criminal that moves from the city to the suburbs who's involved in a lot of questionable activities, and keeps thinking he can get away with anything he wants before getting into a big mess so on and so forth. He owns a gun- but I cant yet decide which brand it should be described as. At first i was thinking glock, but then I read that they weren't recommended for the inexperienced, and my delinquent fits into the category of inexperienced. What do you think? I would also like to know- as far as my summarized description goes, does it sound like any good?
