Do you guys know what movie this is? (description)?

I once watched a movie in which a girl was in her backyard talking on the phone and her cat drowns in a small pool like lake or something like that. Her cat doesnt really drown he just kinda disappeared into the pool. Her backyard is luxurious and there were lots of plants and a small bridge over the pool/lake whatever it is/was. Do you guys know what movie this is? For some reason, i cant remember the name of the movie. Also, its a scary movie.
